birthdays

celebrating the bard’s birthday!

It’s Shakespeare’s 450th birthday this year. He looks pretty good for his age, doesn’t he?First Folio Shakespeare

I’m celebrating Will’s natal day in a few ways this year!

1) Hood College hosts an annual Peeps diorama contest each spring, and this year’s is Shakespeare-themed. How could I pass that up? Here’s my entry:

Et tu, Bunny?

2) I’m hosting a film screening and discussion with my colleague Mark Sandona on film versions of Richard III:

Richard III Colloquium

3) And … I’m working on a video about the different ways that you can enjoy Shakespeare using an iPad. Stay tuned – it will be posted soon!

Happy spring and happy birthday, Will Shakespeare!
