You are here: Home / collaboration apps

collaboration apps

One of my favorite things about technology is the way it can help us collaborate … either with folks in the same room or on another continent. Here are some great apps that can help you, your colleagues, and your students work together more efficiently and effectively!

Google Docs

You’re probably familiar with Google Docs, and many of your students probably use it to write their papers. It’s free, available to use on any device, and syncs your work instantly. It’s a fantastic option for working with a big group, and you can require collaborators to sign in or allow anonymous collaborators.

Padlet

If you’ve never used Padlet, it’s the best app you never knew you needed. Super easy to use: you don’t need to download a thing to use it and it displays content in a variety of ways depending on your needs.

Trello

This app is similar to Padlet – it creates a big “digital cork board.” It does require that users sign in (I just use my Google ID) but it gives you lots of options, including assigning due dates, uploading attachments, and sending notifications to your collaborators.

Take a tour of Trello by clicking here!
